Friday, 30 March 2012 20:27

Japanese Fashion has been slowly gaining popularity these past few years. It has also been a featured event a many anime conventions and I'm proud to announce the addition of two more such events. This April you'll be able to see Japanese fashion in person at Anime Boston and Sakura-Con. The gothic street style of h.Naoto will be on hand at Sakura-Con. Anime Boston will feature the styles of Mint which has a unique collection of clothes from cute cats t-shirts to full on dresses. Each convention will feature a full on fashion show complete with runway. There will also be plenty of merchandise available. We hope to see you there.

h.NAOTO

Creative designer Naoto Hirooka was born in 1977 in Hyogo Prefecture.  After graduation from Bunka Fashion College, he entered S-inc Co. Ltd. in 1999.  In 2000, his brand "h.NAOTO" made its debut.  Resonating to the ideas of extreme "punk," he expanded his unique fashion views while incorporating Japanese subcultures such as gothic-lolita and visual-kei.  The collections, filled with originality, gained much positive critiques and praises from Japan and overseas artists and musicians.

Later, the h.NAOTO collection added character-based CHANNEL H and HANGRY&ANGRY, with the culture of "cute" anime or video game costume plays as their theme.  Then in 2005, as the compilation of the collaborative collection of fashion and art, a more extremely evolved than ever "hEAVEN" was started.

Additionally, he also produced the new category brands such as the men's category shop "h" with street feels of biker, worker, and military, and the shop "8club" with sexiness and cuteness as the image.  Without limiting to a single category, the brand h.NAOTO endlessly seeks for a new world, and will continue to multiply diversely, and deepen.

MINT

Debuted with Sixh., a collaboration brand with designer IBI under h.NAOTO Brand.

The fashion that MINT creates starts with a gothic aesthetic that has evolved into more decorative, ornamental ventures, emerging into an essence that is simple yet high fashion.

A MINT-esque look is unique and creative - a coupling of witticism and languid feeling.

Currently, MINT is independently focusing on his original fashion brand, MINTNeko.

The brand, endorsed by many musicians in Japan, is growing in popularity. MINTNeko is unfolding as a new character fashion brand.
