kanon x kanon is what you get when a Mystic female cello-vocalist (who looks a lot like Kanon Wakeshima) and an Akiba-kei Otaku male sound creator (who looks a lot like kanon of An Cafe) join together to form a "2.5th-demension Phenomenal musical unit".

Their debut single "Calendula Requiem" was released in November 2010 and has been chosen as the opening theme of the anime series Shiki (Corpse Demon). Their following single "Koi no Doutei" was released in June 2011, and this refreshing love song became the theme song of the anime series "30 sai no Hoten Taiiku" (Health and Physical Education for 30-Year-Olds).

Their first US gig was held in July of 2011. Their performance is just like an entertainment show incorporating various elements. They are planning a European tour joined by "Kanon Wakeshima" starting in November 2011. The name of the tour is "kanon x kanon xkanon Euro tour 2011", visiting 10 cities in 7 countries.
